Be part of the team that is changing the definition of physical therapy.
Be part of the team that is changing the definition of healthcare.
Are you a physical therapist that is tired of “running on the hamster wheel?” Do you thrive on human interaction and want to actually apply the entire breadth of your clinical skills and get creative with the process to getting your patients results? Do you love learning and always investing back into yourself and your skills, both clinically and professionally? If this sounds like you, let’s get introduced!
We’re Elevated and we’re a patient-focused, results-driven, outpatient physical therapy practice that operates like no other healthcare facility. We refuse to cram multiple people in simultaneously on your schedule – meaning you actually have time to think and use your clinical skills rather than continuing to run around the hamster wheel while figuring out how to delegate your care plan to an aide (or worse… the patient themselves!) leaving you wondering what you did with your 30 patients today when you go to document.
We spend every single minute of each session 1-on-1 with our clients when they visit – meaning as a PT you have time to focus on the problem without distraction, pay attention to what your patient is doing, get creative with your treatment methods, and be with them every step of the way to make sure they're getting better. We aim to deliver a comprehensive and exclusive VIP treatment for each session so that every client can return to doing things like running, climbing, biking, dancing, or even just getting out of bed without pain – but doing it faster, stronger, and healthier without wasting any precious time or money along the way.
The Job Details:
• You’ll be dedicated to building a deep, wholistic understanding about why new prospective clients are coming to us for help and assist them with any objections or barriers to starting a plan of care if you know you can help them
• You’ll clearly communicate your findings and actions verbally and in writing using patient-friendly language that enables each client to understand exactly what is going on and exactly what they can expect during their treatment sessions and plan of care so they can understand why your plan of care is the best solution to their problem
• You’ll be a "brand ambassador" and showcase why and how we do things enables each client to have a much more efficient and personalized recovery process
• You’ll communicate the value of what we do and the value of investing time and money for each client and communicate the benefits of physical therapy and differentiate it from other potential treatment paths
• You’ll be each client’s biggest fan by advocating on their behalf and creatively celebrating their milestones each step of the way with a personalized approach by paying attention to their interests
• You’ll be consistent with reminding patients of how far they’ve come while also reminding them of how important it is to be consistent to make progress throughout their plan of care
• You’ll efficiently document the specifics and nuances of each client’s visit on time so that everyone involved with their plan of care is informed
• You’ll regularly contribute in creative ways to marketing activities to communicate our approach and share your expert knowledge about various topics for the community
• You'll put your expert clinical skills to use by designing a plan of care that is tailored to each client and make sure that each client is completing their plan of care. You'll have the autonomy to do what you think is best when it comes to treatment because you have the time and authoritative expertise.
• You'll manage your own caseload and be responsible for the same clients routinely but you'll work with the other PTs and clinic staff to maintain familiarity to seamlessly step in when needed
• You’ll be committed to learning, improving, and sharing/communicating new skills and information with the rest of the clinic team and demonstrate a willingness to be coached and held accountable for performance
Who This Role Is For
• Warm, collaborative, and ego-free: You carry yourself with quiet confidence, but you’re not above anyone – or beneath them. You’re approachable, grounded, and understand that healthcare is a team effort.
• Exceptional communicator: You don’t just talk, you connect. You’re committed to learning communication skills that inspire trust, buy-in, and long-term relationships with clients.
• Coachable and growth-minded: You seek feedback, apply it, and actively look for ways to improve yourself – both clinically and professionally.
• Takes initiative without being asked: You see what needs to be done – from checking in on a patient who hasn’t rescheduled, to straightening up the clinic – and you handle it.
• Customer-service savvy: Whether it’s from food service, retail, or other people-focused work, you know how to meet people where they are and make them feel seen, heard, and valued.
• Curious and engaged: You have hobbies. You like learning what others are into. You bring your full personality to the clinic and genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
• Comfortable with value-based conversations: You’re excited to help clients understand why investing in their health is worth it and do it with authenticity and confidence.
Who This Role Is Not For
• Those seeking a “chill” schedule: If you're mostly excited about the low patient volume so you can mentally check out, this isn't the clinic for you. We expect focus, presence, and energy, even with fewer appointments per day.
• Ego-forward or hierarchy-focused people: We believe in mutual respect across the team. If you’re not comfortable treating the front desk team with the same respect as a surgeon or CEO, we won’t be a good fit.
• People who need constant direction: We're a small team, and we help each other out without waiting to be asked. If you struggle with reading the room or pitching in, you’ll likely find our environment frustrating.
• Feedback-averse personalities: If you're resistant to feedback or tend to nod and then do things your own way without reflection or change, this role will feel uncomfortable fast.
Candidate Requirements
• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program and must be licensed to practice in California
• Be energetic, curious, and empathetic each day while engaging with prospective, new, and existing clients
• A willingness to continue investing in oneself with regular with learning, training, and reading
• Clear and timely communication with patients and clinic staff to make sure everyone is up to date and on the same page
• Current certification with Redcord/Certified Redcord Neurac Practitioner (CNP) is a bonus
• Familiarity with using Apple/macOS products also a bonus

We are committed to providing opportunities for training, learning, and personal growth every step of the way for your career. We’re human, too, and know that life exists outside of work – we have paid vacation time, paid holidays, and 401(k) matching to make sure you are setup for the long run. You'll have dedicated documentation and admin time and we'll cover your annual licensing fee each year. We have occasional team outings, lunches, and activities outside the clinic, too.
Both new grads and DPTs with experience are encouraged to apply.
After years spent in "traditional" healthcare and physical therapy clinics as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Maddie was tired and frustrated with not being able to actually get to know clients, tired of being asked to always add more people to her schedule, tired of not being able to focus on each client's concerns, and frustrated with being asked to unethically maximize insurance billing codes. She decided that there had to be a better way to get her clients better, more efficient, and longer lasting results while actually getting to know them, their families, and their goals.
In 2020, Maddie and Josh set out to build a physical therapy clinic that actually "works" to not only fix the surface problem, but to actually get people back to what they want to be doing for the long term using – all without things like surgery, painkillers, injections, or crazy procedures.
